BIO

Vasty is a visual artist from Argentina, based in Barcelona. His practice spans different techniques, including painting and paper cutting, with a current focus on sculpture, a medium in which he finds his most natural form of expression.
His work explores the tension between abstraction and forms that suggest figuration without ever fully becoming figurative. Through organic shapes and an intuitive, playful sensibility, he seeks a balance between volume and void. Inspired by biomorphism and nature, his works do not aim to represent recognizable organisms, but rather to evoke the feeling of a living, vital presence—a form that exists without belonging to any known species. This ambiguity invites introspection, a pause from our instinct to classify everything in order to understand it.
